Do you know that God created mankind so He could have fellowship with us? It's true! 1 John 1:3 says,
"that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with
us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and his son Jesus Christ". NKJV
In the beginning God created Adam and Eve placed them on the garden and would come in the cool of
the evening and fellowship with them. Then man separated himself from God because of sin in the
garden.
God never lost His desire of fellowship with us and he had a plan that would totally restore man back to
his original standing with Him. His name is Jesus! Jesus is God's son and He was the plan. Jesus came
and laid His life down as a ransom for the sins of the world. A debt mankind could never pay on its own.
Why would Jesus do that? Why would He allow Himself to be spit upon, mocked and beaten beyond
recognition, with a crown of thorns pressed into His brow?? The bible tells us in Mathew chapter 2 that
Jesus could have called down thousands of angels. But He didn't. Why?? BECAUSE of the relationship
God wanted with us. God wants a close intimate 'one on one' relationship between Him and mankind,
you. Jesus did just that.
Romans 5:8 says, "but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us". NKJV Jesus lived a sinless life, went to the cross, took upon himself all the
sins, sicknesses, disease and poverty of the world. He did that so we could live free and victorious and
have fellowship with god once more. Malachi 3:6 says, "for I am the Lord, I change not". I am so
thankful God hasn't changed his mind concerning us and that He still wants a close relationship with us.
Whatever state you find yourself, it doesn't matter, God wants a relationship with you today.
